Isaiah 66:1-2
66:1 This is what the LORD says: "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you ever build me a temple as good as that? Could you build a dwelling place for me?
NLT

This verse is a well known verse and is quoted in the New Testament as well. In Acts 7, Stephen takes this verse and states that the Most High does not dwell in temples made with hands. If God does not live in temples which can be built, where does He live?

2 Corinthians 6:16
For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
"I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people."
NKJV

This is such a profound truth and one which takes my breath away. How can the living, Holy God come and live inside of me, and what is more, call me His temple! I am a temple! I am the place where God dwells. I house an altar and an inner sanctuary where the God of the universe can come and live!

I do not know how this is possible, but it causes me to take a look at myself and wonder...while I can't build a dwelling place that's good enough for God, He chooses me. He has decided (upon my invitation), to take up residence in me. I want the Lord Jesus to build me into something magnificent. I want to be fully His and fully capable of being the place where Gods' glory can be revealed.

I encourage you to recognize what God is shaping you to be. Allow yourself to become a temple that contains the presence of God.
